What is a webcast?
A Webcast is the transmission of live audio and video to computers over the Internet

How do I sign up?
To sign up for the webcast:

1. Go to the Signup page
2. Select the package(s) you wish to see and fill out the form, click continue
3. Complete the credit card form, continue
4. Read and agree to the terms of the website, continue
5. You should now be returned to http://bhswebcast.com where you can login see your webcast subscriptions

To return to the webcast at later times go to http://bhswebcast.com and login with the username and password you chose during signup.

What events are available and what are the prices?

What payment options are available?
Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover Card

Will the webcast work on my computer, phone, and/or tablet?
Most likely. Be sure to try the test video on the main page, if it works you are fine to Signup. If the test video does not work, you should contact tech support.

How can I prepare my computer for the webcast?
Here is what we do to our computers:
-Update the Operating System - make sure you are always up to date for Windows, Mac, tablets, etc...
-Update the Internet Browser - make sure your primary browser is always up to date
-Update Flash Player (http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/) -Try other Internet Browser - sometimes a different browser than you normally use can play video better
-Use a good hard wired Internet connection - we connect to our Internet router with network cables
-Avoid Wireless or Cellular Internet
-Limit the use of other programs - don't have other programs running on the computer while watching the webcast
-Limit the Internet use in your home - make sure others are using high-use Internet programs like Netflix, Amazon TV, Xbox Video, etc...
-Limit the number of tabs in your Internet Browser - only a few at a time if needed

What if I sign up on my computer at the office and then want to watch the webcast on my home computer?
You can now access the webcast from multiple computers, at different times, by using the login that you created during the purchase process. It will work great for people who use different computers regularly for their internet access. However, we monitor for account sharing so please don't abuse this privilege. If there are too many connections for a single account access may be denied.

Can I host a webcast watching party this year?
Yes!

Where do the proceeds from this webcast go?
Your donations help fund Barbershop Harmony Society webcasts in addition to helping the Society keep the whole world singing.

Will I be able to watch this year’s webcast in full screen mode?
Yes. Full screen is available for both live and delayed viewing video. The fullscreen button is located at the bottom right corner of the video player.

Can I record or playback the webcast at a later time?
The webcast is a copyrighted program and should not be recorded. Any videos posted to YouTube or other public site will be flagged for copyright infringement. Since posting copyrighted material is contrary to YouTube’s Terms of Use, the poster’s account will likely be closed.

I'm competing in the contest and will be attending the convention. I have already paid for my convention registration. Will I be able to get a reduced price on the delayed viewing option?
You sure will, competitors and attendees of the International Convention will be able to enjoy delayed viewing at a reduced rate. A coupon code will be handed out at registration when you get your name tags. The code will give you 50% off the delayed viewing. The coupon code doesn't become valid until after the live competitions are over.

Can I watch the webcast using a wireless network or cellular?
We strongly recommend using a hard WIRED connection. Plug your computer directly into your network router if possible. Wireless can cause additional buffering and freezing screen on the video.

I was charged twice for the webcast. What should I do?
Email our support team at support@bhswebcast.com and notify them of the double charge. Provide your username and what was purchased. They will put in a refund request for you. You will get an email upon being refunded.

I only bought one day, but I want to upgrade to the Live Gold package. How do I do that?
Login to your account, and select to add the Live Gold package. After you have gone through the payment process, email the support team, support@bhswebcast.com, telling them you wanted to upgrade. They will confirm the additional purchase, and then put in a refund request for the one day package. You will be emailed upon the refund of the one day package.

I accidentally bought the wrong event. Can I switch my subscription?
Login to your account, and select the package you intended to buy in the first place. Go through the payment process. After you have purchased the event, email the support team at support@bhswebcast.com and tell them that you purchased the wrong event, and you need to be refunded. The support team will put in a request for a refund for the wrong event.

Do I have to watch the Delayed Viewing at a certain time of the day?
They are available Wed July 9 through Wed July 16, 2014 up to 11:59PM. When they are ready for viewing they will be available for 7 days. You may watch them ANYTIME and AS MANY TIMES as you like during this time period.

You can send your shout outs to comments@bhswebcast.com. We'll do our best to get the messages to your friends, but we can not guarantee that it will make it on air.
